Join the National Gaucher Foundation, Inc. as we celebrate our 30th Anniversary at our National Gaucher Conference on November 9 and 10, 2014. The two-day Conference will feature the top researchers and physicians in Gaucher disease discussing the latest news and progress. Topics of discussion will include drug therapy news, bone disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Type 1, 2 and 3 research and developments, social/psychological aspects, and many other areas of interest. We will feature physician panel discussions, Q&A sessions with top experts, and breakout groups, so there will be plenty of time to visit with physicians, friends, and other families from all over the world. *A limited number of scholarships to attend the conference are available on a first come, first served basis, so please apply early.

The Doubletree by Hilton is conveniently located near two Metro stops and approximately 1 hour from three area airports: Baltimore/Washington Airport (BWI), Dulles Airport, and Reagan National Airport. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is located less than one mile from the hotel.

Gala Celebration Dinner Make plans to join us for our Gala Celebration Dinner on November 9, 2014, to commemorate the NGF’s 30th Anniversary, as we take a look back over the last 30 years and celebrate the many accomplishments and advancements in the field of Gaucher Disease.
As one of its 30th Anniversary events, the NGF is holding a Gaucher video contest and the top three videos will be shown at the Gala dinner. Anyone with a connection to Gaucher disease may participate in this contest. Deadline for submission: August 29. Live Streaming of Conference As with our 2010 conference, the NGF will be live streaming the Conference, in order to give those unable to attend the opportunity to hear and see it live. Callers and those using social media will be able to ask and have answered the questions on their mind. Upon its conclusion, the entire conference will be posted on the NGF’s website for those who missed it. Additionally we will be send- ing messages out via social media during breaks and after each day’s conference to keep you abreast of what’s going on. Join in the discussion and we will use some of your comments and questions during the Q & As after each segment or topic.

NIH Tour There will be a Tour of National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center Monday, November 10 - 2:30 to 4:00 PM. Limited spaces are available and you must pre-register for the Tour. The tour is limited to 20-25 people and lasts approximately 1 hour. No Walk-ons permitted. Tour guests will need to leave the hotel at 2 PM, to be at the NIH Gateway Center/Security gate by 2:30 PM. NIH is within walk- ing distance from the DoubleTree Hotel (0.5 miles). Should you need assistance, the NGF will make available a van or taxi.
